Assistant Clerk

Applications are invited for Assistant Clerk to the above Parish Council. The successful applicant will be required to work a minimum of 24 hours but may be varied to a maximum of 30 hours per week.

The Parish Council maintains a Parish Office (open to the public 8 hours / week) which acts as a community hub and the successful applicant should enjoy meeting the public and have a good sense of humour! The role incorporates administering for and attending evening Planning Committee meetings usually on a monthly basis as well as managing bookings for Council services, some financial management, research and other general administration. Good IT skills are also essential.

The starting salary for the role is £17,899 p.a pro rata and benefits include holiday allowance and enrolment into the staff pension scheme.
